Before using the Olive sharing moped via the Olive app, make sure to meet the following prerequisites:
- Install the Olive sharing app on a smartphone.
- Create an account and complete the registration process.
- Verify the account using the provided verification methods. You will need to upload photo of your driving licence and your selfie so we can make sure that you are allowed to drive a moped in the Republic of Croatia.
- Ensure the smartphone is connected to a reliable internet connection ad location serivice is turned on.
Step 1: Open the Olive Sharing App
Launch the Olive app on your smartphone by tapping on the app icon.
Step 2: Log In to the App
Enter your registered username and password to log in to the Olive app.
Step 3: Locate the Nearest Available Moped
The Olive app will display a map with the locations of available mopeds nearby. Use the map to locate the nearest available moped.
Step 4: Reserve the Moped
Once you have selected the desired moped, tap on the “Reserve” button to secure it for your use. The Olive app will provide a reservation timer, indicating the duration for which the moped is reserved exclusively for you.
Step 5: Approaching the Moped
While approaching the moped, ensure your smartphone’s Bluetooth and GPS are turned on. This will aid in locating and unlocking the moped.
Step 6: Unlock the Moped
Using the Olive app, select the option to unlock/start the reserved moped. The app will send a signal to the moped, unlocking it automatically. Rear box with two helmets will also unlock.
Step 7: Inspect the Moped
Before riding, conduct a quick inspection of the moped to ensure it is in good condition. Check the tires, brakes, lights, and any other important components. If you find any problem on the moped or damage that can affect driving safety, please report this trough the Olive app, and chose another moped.
Step 8: Wear Safety Gear
Put on a helmet which is mandatory and located in rear box and any other recommended safety gear by your choice before starting the ride. Ensure that the helmet is properly fastened and fits securely. You can find disposable caps in the rear box and use them if you want. Note: all helmets are cleaned, disinfected and refreshed on a daily basis to ensure the maximum level of hygiene.
Step 9: Start the Ride
Once you have completed the inspection and put on the necessary safety gear, you can start the ride by pushing the moped down from the central stands and turning the throttle lever. NOTE: be careful when starting because mopeds have a lot of torque and can move quickly.
Step 10: Follow Traffic Rules and Regulations
While riding the moped, strictly adhere to all traffic rules and regulations. Observe speed limits, signal properly, and maintain a safe distance from other vehicles.
Step 11: Park the Moped Safely
Once you have reached your destination, find a designated parking spot for the moped in th yellow zone on the map. You can park and finish the ride only in yellow zones. Ensure that the parking spot is legal and does not obstruct traffic or pedestrian movement.
Step 12: End the Ride
Using the sharing app, select the option to end the ride. This will lock the moped and complete the transaction. You will need to take a photo of scooter before ending the ride so we can make sure that you parked proprerly.
